PK Mead
Since family, friends, and fun are a high priority in PK’s life choices, participating in Anacortes’ diverse, active Senior Center is a great fit. As a native Californian, she could have not imagined nesting in the Pacific Northwest. However, when her daughter Mishel settled here with five of PK’s grandchildren the future took on quite a different path. After relocating to Anacortes in 2012, an active senior invited her to visit the center, which soon led to volunteering at the front desk, fundraising for Meals on Wheels, overseeing the lending library, organizing Bake Sales then joining the Foundation as a Board Member. PK values the ASAC as a vital place for seniors to thrive through relationships and activities and is committed to supporting its future.
