Our Purpose
The ASAC Foundation addresses the nutritional, social, informational, and advocacy needs of Anacortes area seniors through financial and other support of the Anacortes Senior Activity Center and other City-sponsored senior programs.
We provide critically important funding to sustain and grow the Senior Center's programming and educate the community about the importance of the Center’s life-transforming services and support.
Our History
- 1973: Anacortes Senior Center is established
- 1978: The Anacortes Senior Advisory Committee is born
- 1984: The Anacortes Senior Activity Center Advisory Committee receives 501(c)3 tax exempt status
- 1995: The Senior Center moves to its current location with the help of funding raised by the Advisory Committee
- 2009: Advisory Committee changes it’s name to Anacortes Senior Activity Center Foundation
As a 501(c)(3) registered charity, all gifts given to the Anacortes Senior Activity Center Foundation in pursuit of our mission are tax-deductible donations.
