Eric Johnson, Colonel, USAF (ret), began his Air Force career flying combat rescue missions over Cambodia, and, after serving in flying and staff assignments around the world, he retired thirty years later after serving as the air attaché at the American Embassy in Saudi Arabia and in the Netherlands.

A deacon at Christ Episcopal Church, he was a founder of the Anacortes Family Center emergency shelter and the Anacortes Kiwanis Aktion Club for adults with disabilities. He is a member of Board of Advisors of the Salvation Army, president of the Anacortes Community Health Council, past president of the Anacortes Kiwanis Club, and served on the Anacortes city council for the eight-and-a-half years.

His latest initiative was heading the Synergy Project, an effort that pooled some of the resources of the city, the Samish Nation and service clubs in starting an infant care and preschool facility in Anacortes.

You Can Help

The ASAC hours are 8am-4pm to serve the seniors of Anacortes. The Center has something for everyone...activities, lunch, classes, connecting with friends as well as making new ones.

With your donation you can help with expenses needed to support our activities and classes, expand our social phone call program and help with continuing operational expenses required to keep the building functioning well.
