Janel Dills
Janel found her perfect retirement home in Anacortes and relocated in 2017. When arriving to the area she was surprised as to how welcoming the residents were. By volunteering on her HOA Board and at local charities, she was able to discover more about the people and community.
Retiring from corporate in 2022, she started volunteering at the Anacortes Senior Activity Center learning how much the Center means to the seniors in Anacortes and the neighboring communities. The improvement of the Center for the seniors and community became her goal. Today, she continues to volunteer as needed at the Center. Currently that includes receptionist, kitchen worker and driver for Meals on Wheels, manager Trinkets and Treasures gift shop, the AMP team, assisting the office staff with varies projects and clerical duties, and facilitating the Senior Resource Fair for 2025. She is also a City of Anacortes employee as a Monitor.
Janel’s 50+ year professional career includes, Commercial Real Estate Development, Interior Design, Business Management and Retail Management.

The ASAC hours are 8am-4pm to serve the seniors of Anacortes. The Center has something for everyone...activities, lunch, classes, connecting with friends as well as making new ones.
With your donation you can help with expenses needed to support our activities and classes, expand our social phone call program and help with continuing operational expenses required to keep the building functioning well.
