Kirk Kennedy
Kirk and his wife Mary moved to Anacortes in 2003 to begin their retirement. Kirk had held various management positions throughout his career within the automotive, agriculture and aerospace industries. Since arriving in Anacortes, Kirk has volunteered for the City of Anacortes, Port of Anacortes, Anacortes School District, Anacortes Chamber of Commerce, and Anacortes Senior Activity Center, leading the March for Meals fundraiser for Skagit County’s Meals on Wheel program since 2004.
In recognition of his volunteer efforts, Kirk has received the Paul Harris Award from the Fidalgo Island Rotary, Community Leadership Award from the Anacortes School District, Anacortes Chamber of Commerce’s President’s Award, and the Governor’s Smart Communities Award for efforts supporting the City’s 2016 Comprehensive Plan.
