Amanda Miller

Program Coordinator

Amanda enjoys serving seniors by providing opportunities for support and enrichment. She feels it is an honor to be a part of people’s lives during their senior years and enjoys getting to know those who enjoy the Center’s resources and activities. Her goals are to increase awareness of resources, develop enriching programs, and to hear and share the stories of our local seniors.

Amanda oversaw the Skagit County Senior Nutrition Program for six years, before being hired as the Center’s Program Coordinator. During that time, she built relationships and connections, provided quality service to a diverse group of clients, worked alongside volunteers, and contributed daily to the unique atmosphere of the Anacortes Senior Activity Center.

Amanda spent five years as a caregiver for seniors in assisted living; during that time, she found opportunities to lead and develop a variety of activities. While working toward her B.S, she spent a year working for Central Washington University’s student newspaper as a Senior Reporter and Section Editor.

Amanda enjoys being involved in the community and has spent many years volunteering for food banks, women’s shelters, animal shelters, LGBTQ organizations, churches, and the March for Meals committee, which raises funds for Meals on Wheels.

You Can Help

The ASAC hours are 9am-4pm to serve the seniors of Anacortes. The Center has something for everyone...activities, lunch, classes, connecting with friends as well as making new ones.

With your donation you can help with expenses needed to support our activities and classes, expand our social phone call program and help with continuing operational expenses required to keep the building functioning well.
